Below is the default email settings for Direct Admin that you can use for third-party email clients like Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.
We would strongly recommend using the server hostname (For example: s4.asurahosting.com) instead of your own domain, as the hostname will always be kept updated with a valid SSL Certificate and DNS changes.
IMAP
- IMAP Server: mail.yourdomain.com or s4.asurahosting.com/s5.asurahosting.com (Depending on server)
- IMAP PORT: 143 or 993 (SSL Required)
- IMAP Username: youremail@yourdomain.com
- IMAP Password: Password you used to create the email address.
POP3
- POP3 Server: mail.yourdomain.com or s4.asurahosting.com/s5.asurahosting.com (Depending on server)
- POP3 User Name: youremail@yourdomain.com
- POP3 Password: Password you used to create the email address.
- POP3 Port: 110 or 995 (SSL Required)
SMTP
- SMTP Server: mail.yourdomain.com or s4.asurahosting.com/s5.asurahosting.com (Depending on server)
- SMTP Email Address: youremail@yourdomain.com
- SMTP Password: Password you used to create the email address.
- SMTP Port: 587 or 465 (SSL Required)
Downloading email settings from Direct Admin #
You can also directly download the outlook settings for the required email address within Direct Admin by Logging into Direct Admin > Email Accounts > Download Outlook Configuration (Click on the “+” on the right side of the email address)
